i just posted this under redundant tickets but it irked me so bad(im in a bad mood today as is) im giving it its own thread
our bread and butter proprietary web app went down today and after 5 minutes of down time a particularly anti IT and snarky manager/teamlead said to us ....."you know ss1 is down right?" then puts in a ticket for it after the following conversation anyway.
us(in our heads): "NOPE! we have zero monitoring on a quarter million dollar mission critical app and none of the other 300+ employees noticed..your powers are observation are clearly beyond IT's capacity to plan ahead and all the other employees clearly are incompetent and didn't tell us in the last 5 minutes ."
us(in reality): yeah we are working on it..sorry
