We use a Java web application for a time-keeping & labor management system. I do not have any control over the code (we did not build it - it is a large time-keeping company who shall remain nameless). Recently, the 10-key stopped working in this web application at some of our locations. It works before logging in, and it works in other programs. It doesn't seem to matter which browser is being used. The vendor first told us that we needed to uninstall and re-install the same version of Java, which we did, with no success. Then they told us that it was being caused by Java updates, which had not happened since they had us uninstall/re-install. Then they told us it appeared to be a configuration issue on our end, but they did not know what. We ran windows updates on one of he affected computers, and it did not fix it. A day or two later, it worked on that computer. We have not had any such luck on the other ones. The one that is working is running JRE 6_017. Has anyone else ever heard of any 10-key issues like this? (And yes, we have tried both with the num-lock on and off. Arrow keys on 10-key still appear to work, changing fields in the application.)
