MPLS over Business Broadband

Please excuse my lack of knowledge in the area of MPLS. The description I was given was it was IP Route or Metro Ethernet services within the same provider, so traffic is not routed outside the provider.

I am running Sonicwall NSA220's in my remote offices and a NSA3500 in the main. I have a Metro Ethernet primary and a Comcast 50/10 backup. My remotes all run 50/10 Comcast.

The environment is a hub and spoke with all services coming home to the 3500. The site to site vpn is over the Metro Ethernet link while all remotes vpn is over the Comcast.

I was curious if I could create an ad-hoc MPLS network by keeping all sites VPN on the same provider and route within the provider vs tunneling outside.

Does that make sense? Would I see any reliability increases by routing VPN traffic within the same provider?

Thanks,

Phil
