Juniper SSG5 PPPoE - PPP Settings

Hey Folks!

I'm new to PPPoE and PPP networks, and we have a SSG5 that we've have setup for a while and we're adding a second WAN link to AT&T dsl.

I've got the PPPoE connection up and running, but noticed that it does not stay connected. I'm wondering if I need to have a setting for both PPPoE and PPP in order for this to work/stay connected, or if it's just a provider issue where the connection is just dropping out.

Does any one out there have any experience with this setup on this firewall? Or have some good tips on PPPoE networks.

Many Thanks!

I've done some research and have tried a few things:
some settings we can try/similar issues reported on Juniper forums

Option 1
unset pppoe name (Instance Name) ppp lcp-echo-retries
unset pppoe name (Instance Name) ppp lcp-echo-timeout

Option 2 I already did this last night, need to monitor
"set ppoe (Instance Name) auto-connect xxx" might be a better alternative in your case. xxx is the number of seconds that elapse before automatic re-initiation of a previously closed connection.

OR:
set pppoe name "Instance Name" idle 0
set pppoe name "Instance Name" ppp lcp-echo-retries 5
set pppoe name "Instance Name" ppp lcp-echo-timeout 6
set pppoe name "Instance Name" auto-connect 3
