I frequently hear people explain cloud computing with SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS. Which are the three delivery method and well discussed in http://csrc.nist.gov/publications/nistpubs/800-145/SP800-145.pdf and http://aka.ms/532. However it does not really explain what is cloud computing still. This is similar to explaining one can travel by air, sea, or land does not address what is the purpose of traveling and what the person is supposed to achieve for this trip.
