Hello,
I have a WiFi network to which users are authenticated via RADIUS in order to gain access.
Recently I have noticed that my DHCP servers are dishing IP out to unknown devices on the network. At the same time I have also noticed that my APs are receiving unknown associations with these devices. Investigations quickly pointed out to me that some savvy users have been bringing in their Ipads and connecting them to the wireless network in the same way they log on their desktop; using their AD credentials. I am aware that Windows Server 2008 R2 does have DHCP capabilities that allows to block certain MAC addresses. However, I still have a Windows 2003 and 2008 DHCP Servers which don't support this feature. Is there other way (other than upgrading all DHCP servers) that I can make sure that these iPads are not simply connecting to the WiFi network without permission? I assume that if these iPads cannot get an IP, then they will effectively fail to gain any connection.
