Having thoughts about looking for something new...

Hello everyone,

So this whole week I been contemplating about whether or not I should look for another job.

To make a my story short, I been in my job for almost a year now which I don't have any complaints about. Its a medium size company with 50+ employees and I am the only IT guy there onsite, we have second and third level assistance remotely, So I take care most of the first level issues we have.

This is actually my first solid job in the IT world, because previously had a major personal accident that took me 2 years to come back and my other jobs were just seasonal, and the rest is history.

In my current job i get the change to work with exchange, AD, some of the other servers we have in house and that's what I like to be involve more not just first level issues. My regular day consist of fixing outlook problems, updating software, restarting computers, and so on. Nothing really big because when we get a serious issue then level 2 take over but I don't get what they do. So I feel like I want to learn more but this is not the place to do it. I'm not the person that reads books and learns, I actually need to be in action doing it on my own so I can learn, make mistakes and learn from my own mistakes.

My question is should I stay put in my current job knowing that I'm going to be there doing nothing more than level 1 helpdesk and just gain more experience as I stay longer here or start looking for something new somewhere else ? Should I get any certifications? or what do you guys advice.....?
