Any suggestions for managing an organization wide calendar for say a group for 8 techs?
Helpdesk tickets are great for tracking of jobs especially those that can be solved remotely. But what about projects and in particular on-site jobs? How you are handling the scheduling of these?
At a local service provider, I have seen a custom web application in which a dispatcher is able to see all the on-site jobs listed for the day, week and month. In it, it can the be drilled down to each individual tech. Additionally, each tech can then also obtain a PDF copy of his schedule for the day that includes the client address, problem identified, appoint date etc.
Any solution that you are currently using for this purpose? Hopefully something away from the PSAs.
