As I understand it, with EQL MPIO a single connection is limited to a single NIC's throughput, and you can't "trunk" them to get a higher throughput for a single connection, is that correct?
For example, I have a EQL with 4 iSCSI ports, and an ESXi host with 4 ports dedicated to iSCSI, 4 ports dedicated to LAN (8 NIC ports total). As I understand MPIO, a single file copy is limited to a single Gbit NIC throughput, correct? Is there any way to achieve 4 Gbit throughput (given that there are 4 NICs)?
If this can't be done with EQL iSCSI, then how can you achieve higher throughput? Something along the lines of setting up LAGs to servers?
