ipsec vpn or MPLS VPN

I presently have the MPLS VPN tunnel in my 3 offices. Few days ago, Some body told me about the IPSEC VPN. Guy told me that IPSEC VPN is also much secured. Please guide me which is supposed to be more efficient, secured.
