Unable to Console to HP 5304VL

Hi All,

I am trying to use putty to create a Serial connection to my HP 5304VL Switch, but to no avail. It sits at the black screen and there is no response upon Hitting Enter/Space a few times which usually works.

I have tried a different switch with the same cable and that works fine. So the cable works OK. I cant Telnet to the switch as it's got maxxed out connections in which i am trying to kill via Console..

I've checked that its the right COM port, and the speed is set at 9600/8/1/NONE/XON/XOFF

What else can i do but reset the switch..?
