Hi all, first, thanks for all the great discussions here and helpful informations...
We have backup starting at 7pm with all sorts of stuff to transfer to disk then copy to LTO Ultrium and it works fine, but few weeks ago I've got a request to start another server backup (sql db's and some folders) at 3am while services on target server need to be closed.
I've created a script that automatically stops services at 3am but now I need to do something about the backup. As the times inside the backup job cannot be fixed I cannot depend on the random backup that will either catch up wanted server at 3am or it will back it up at 2am or 5am with bad results. I can't make a pre/post command since those start at the beginning/end of the job.
Aaand my question is... :-) Is it possible to start another backup job while the other one is running exactly at 3am and to stick it up on the LTO after both jobs are finished? Or any ideas how to arrange this?
