A client brought in a computer and complained that when he turned on his computer, the fans and lights would kick on, but nothing would be displayed. I tested the PSU, worked great.
His computer was pretty dated, I probably couldn't have found a replacement Mobo or AGP GPU if I wanted to. I told him I could build him a new rig and recycle the HDD and chassis to save a little money, and he'd have a shiny new system otherwise.
I order the parts, put the computer together, and somehow still has the same problem. I plug in a POST card and it shows that it's clearing POST (Code FF) but still not reaching BIOS. The only hardware that isn't new is the HDD, which shouldn't be the issue if it can't get to BIOS, and the chassis, which is silly to think it's an issue.
There's always a possibility one of the parts is DOA, does anybody have any insight to save me some time? If a part is DOA, which is the most likely?
