We print 13kb PDF's across the WAN all day in an automated fashion with a receipt program, I won't go into details, but it works. I am using the HP universal pcl 5 driver and the documents spool at 510kb once they hit the printer, using xp. i did a test a few months ago on 08r2 and i saw job around 82 or 102kb, can't remember exactly. i've setup the 08r2 box again now that the vendor got their stuff fully 64bit compatible and i'm back to 510kb. i read that 08r2 was more efficient and the vendor says he's seen this with other customers as well, however since they dont control windows printing (they just send their receipts to print), he doesnt know exactly how they get small print job. i am trying to make printing across the WAN faster, i already have COS installed and doing the best it can, however if i can go from 510 to 82, that's huge for us. any ideas?? i've been searching for a day now on google and cant really find anything. the printers are mostly hp style laserjets, 3010,3015,4050,2420, etc, etc. the universal pcl5 is working just fine, however id like smaller documents. any help would be great, thank you all
