Hi all,
I know there have been several posts about Backblaze etc here but I am not sure they are the best solution for what I need.
I have a client who is a design house so they have tonnes of graphics, photos etc that they keep forever.
Currently they are at 1.3TB. That has grown from 800GB in about a year.
We have implemented ShadowProtect with base image and then incrementals to a NAS. However, we have been trying to do backup to USB for the base image which we take offsite and then replicate the incrementals over the wire. This has been troublesome to say the least... especially as the base image takes about 4 days to copy to the USB drive.
We are incredibly concerned about this backup as if they lose this data (building burns down etc) they (and we!) will be truly screwed. I am not too concerned about the onsite backup as that works sweet and I never have issues... it is just mostly the offsite backup, however I would be happy to replace the onsite if it came as part of an offsite solution that would work well.
I was wondering if anyone can suggest a solution and procedure that they use and know works for this type of situation. Their internet connection is a 4MB/4MB connection and our site (which is the offsite location is a 10/10)
Ideally I dont want more than a 1 week data loss period.
Cheers
