I recently upgraded my servers to VMWare 5.1, and installed office 2010. IE has come to a crawl. I am not sure if this has anything to do with 5.1, I was previously running 4.1. When a user opens a page in IE 8 or 9, it takes 3-4 minutes to load. While it is loading you can't even exit IE without using the task manager. Once the page loads, you can exit normally. When you load the next page, the wait starts over, once the page loads it is fine. Interestingly chrome does not have this issue, but I need IE due to state requirements. I am in the process of copying the VM back onto a 4.1 server, but I am not sure it will work. I have even tried loading an image created prior to the upgrade (still runs office 2007) - problem still exists.
Anyone heard of this one?
