I have inherited this:
- company computers with win7 + office 2010 (home and business) licenses are PKC and they have been recorded.
but I need to be able to
- Reimage existing machines
- Deploy new machines without the need to enter CD keys or call microsoft
I have only ever used VL at other places I have worked so I'm not sure how people normally deal with this type of setup.
The company won't purchase volume licenses to cover all the installs but I am trying to work out if I this will work:
- Purchase a single office 2010 volume license
- Record PKC keys
- Deploy office as I would a normal VL edition (customize the install to remove the features not in home and business)
I have had a look around and I understand you can do this with OEM versions and purchase a single VL key to get the reimaging rights. Where it gets vague is in my example there is no Volume License Edition of home and business so I am assuming this wouldn't work because if I was audited all the machines would show Office 2010 Pro for example when I only have licensed to cover Home and Business
