We use folder redirection for our documents and favorites folders. The files are stored on a file share on the local DC where the user is located.
This user moved from one location to another and the documents moved, when the user logged into her new PC the redirection didn't take. upon further investigation we tried to manually add the redirection and it didn't work. So I then tried to access the share directly and was still unable to with Windows complaining about a permissions issue.
So I logged in as my and my admin account on the PC, even as me I can't access the shares, I tried accessing the admin share while logged on with my domain admin account and I still get a permission issue. I can get the the same shares from any other PC with my normal user account, but no from this PC. Interestingly I can access shares on any of the remote DC's I've tried to access from that PC without issue, just not the local DC.
I have tried removing the PC from the domain, and re-adding it, but that hasn't fixed it. I'm not sure where to go from here other than to re-image, before I do that does anyone have any suggestions?
