Hi all,
I'm currently in the process of configuring my first RD2012 server for our remote offices connected via an MPLS.
I'm currently tinkering with a test installation installed on vmware free, hosted on a HP DL360 G6 with 8GB of RAM. I may move the production installation to a hyper v, still deciding on that. Maybe even install Server 2012 direct to the server?
I'm looking at installing all the RDS components on just the one server for now.
Is 8GB of RAM enough for 20-25 users on RDS2012, or would you advise buying more before deployment. Will RAID5 on 15k SAS drives be ok? This is likely to be an interim setup, as hopefully we'll be buying 2 new powerful hosts for our virtualization project at the end of the year.
When I installed Citrix in my previous role, we used to redirect profiles to a FAP via GPO. I notice in RDS2012 there's a user profile disk option. Looks straight forward, but I've read a fair amount of posts from users have issues with this option, so I may redirect the profile using GPO. Is this ok/recommended?
Thanks
