Currently IT admin for a company in hampshire and the pay is really low.trying to get job around and the pay are relatively low for recent jobs.i have a family man with two kids now and my salary is not good enough as my wife stays at home to take care of the kids. I recently got called for an interview for contract device desk for a 10 months which will be an increase of 50% compared to my present salary but I won't Be managing servers at all.just desktop users and the contract might be extended.
what do u spice heads think? Will I be able to comeback easily in managing servers or I am killing my career chasing salary increase? Looking for 2nd line jobs or contracts but they are not really available. I really need advise please.
