Our MSP installed a sweet new network for us back in October, Fiber, EMC2, Procurve ZSwitches the whole shebang. But for some odd reason every few months or so we get an issue with someone causing a loop in the network. I'm not a networking guru so I must ask those that do know, is there a valid purpose or reason for Spanning Tree to not be enabled on most IDF switches? I've this before but I don't recall ever getting a valid answer. Could someone please enlighten me?
