I have a majority of Windows XP systems that I am upgrading to Windows 7 this year. I am also running server 2003 domain controllers for the time being. What is happeneing, is we have setup the new Windows 7 systems on the domain, and they are waiting shipment. They will have the same system names/ip as the ones they are replacing. As we setup the new ones, the old systems in the field are unable to login due to domain trust issues. I assume the Domain controller is expecting the new system that just joined the network. The issues go away if I rejoin all the old computers to the domain, but it is kind of a pain. Is there anyway I can work around this easily? That way I can build a system, and let it sit for a week, ship it to the store, and not interupt the systems that are in the field?
