I have a client that is using Microsoft’s Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) via a Cisco VPN tunnel to access a computer that is setup for remote access but the connection is failing.
Detail of failure
The connection is though a Cisco VPN tunnel to the remote computer and other local computers can connect to the remote computer with no problems. The local computer that failing to connect with RDC can ping the remote computer by both IP and computer name. The failure message is below and we know:
1. Remote access is enabled because we can connect with other local systems to the remote system.
2. Remote computer is on because we can ping and connect with other local systems.
3. Is available on the network because we can connect with other local systems and ping the remote computer.
We get the above message with all software firewalls down and AV turned off on the local computer.
So any ideas
