Direct attached Storage and UEB on Hyper-V

We are trying out Unitrends using UEB on Hyper-V (Server 2008 R2). How do we configure UEB (on both the backup and replication servers) to use direct attached storage? We upgraded our backup and replication servers using a previous product so we don't want to spend the money on appliances, hence we want to use UEB. Our primary backup server and replication servers are set up the same: a RAID 1 for the OS and a RAID 5 for the backup data. Is it possible to configure UEB to use these partitions for the backup location? Thanks!
