I'm having an issue with a Lenovo Z580 running Windows 8. The Ethernet NIC driver is installed. However, it will not connect via it. The wireless works fine. On the board, no lights show up while the computer is running normally on the port (normal green and amber lights) but when it's shutting down they flash...indicating to me it's not a bad port....
They have Sophos EP. Getting online is no problem so I don't think it's a virus. I have tried uninstalling the device and deleting the driver to see if it's a corrupt driver. I also downloaded the latest driver from Lenovo's website and installed that. I have also tried a couple different ethernet cables and none work so I know it's not the cable. When I run ipconfig it shows the ethernet NIC but as disconnected....
I'm out of ideas....any help is greatly appreciated!
