Concerning Server 2012 Hyper-v and roles distribution / best practices?

For my next upgrade cycle I want to start using hyper-v for the small shop, one server, clients. Since hyper-v is built in, and you can run essentially 3 servers with your server 2012 licence.

I would like to utilize it. (plus it could be a great sales tool, "you get 3 servers, for the price of one!") I have brainstormed several different configurations, but frankly, i'm not sure what would be the best.

Do i...

A: Make it the HOST OS the "DC/dns", "PRINT"... then make hyper-v one the "FILE" and hyper-v two the DBASE? Do i give the host 8 cores? 4 cores?

B: Do i only use the host to mount the 2 vm's? then make one the "DC / file" and vm two the "dbase"

Too me, this seems like i waste a server? MIND YOU, that ALL roles are now handled by the ONE instance of server 2008 now. (so DATA center guys, don't laugh) Again, these are just small 5-40 people networks I admin.

C: all of the above / none of the above.

I want to maximize their hardware. FYI, i have decided on minimum specs (for those wondering)

DUAL ZEON 8 core (16 total)

128 GB ram

RAID 1 SSD boot mirror

RAID 5 150000rpm (at least 2TB)

...And that brings up another question. should i get 3 RAID 1 SSD arrays? One for the host, and one each for the VM's (i only bring that up because it only adds about 1k to the price, but the performance is yummy) Or should i just use a VHD on the HOST RAID 1 OR the RAID 5?

Can you give me details on how you would split up the roles/features? plus core breakdown.
