Hey Guys,
I have been searching around to try and get an idea of what would work better.
General setup I am looking at is Hyper-v
For speed and reliability what would I be better off doing.
Shadowprotect's best practice suggests that the OS should be on its own drive and then a second set for everything else.
So hyper-v machine, would you guys recommend.
6xSAS drives in Raid 10, partition for the host OS and then 2nd partition for VM storage.
or
2xSAS drives in Raid 1 for host OS and 4xSAS drives in Raid 10 for VM storage.
I feel that having 2 partitions would not give any speed increases as in the end its reading from the same disk so would add load to the disks?
Looking forward to hearing some opinions :)
