What are the hardware and operating system sizing options for running spiceworks for different sized networks?
I've looked over the official system requirements here: http:/
And, I've looked at the larger environment thread here:http:/
I do, however, still have a couple of questions. Note: I am looking at this from a small MSP/solution provider perspective.
On smaller networks (75 or fewer nodes/devices), I'm certain Spiceworks installed on a windows client OS (XP, Vista, 7) on a desktop class machine (or maybe even an atom class machine) is sufficient.
At what point, however, does one need to move up to a Windows server installation and higher performance server grade hardware? 200 nodes/devices? 500 nodes/devices? 10 remotes? 100 desktop agents?
I'm hoping for some sort of official Spiceworks sizing matrix that provides hardware and host operating system sizing guidelines based on number of scanned nodes, number of deployed remotes, and number of remote client agents installed.
Thanks!!
