Have a client who replaced a stolen laptop with a Best Buy Windows 8 laptop from HP, and she needs whole-disk encryption. The only WDE which is compatible with this machine, which has UEFI and GPT-formatted disks, is Bitlocker. I can't find anywhere how to upgrade from the OEM Win8 to Win8 Ultimate, which is the only non-enterprise version of Win8 with Bitlocker.
Should I tell her to return the machine and buy a new one with Ultimate?
