Firstly. WOW! nice redesign.
I am using a Windows Vista Business SP2 test box with 2GB ram (32 bit) (a full computer audit can be given if needs be)
Windows Firewall = Off
UAC = Off
Using Chrome as default browser (version 28.0.1500.52 m)
Once the install had completed I "signed up / logged in" ran it to be presented with the familiar 3 options and selected the inventory section
In the Inventory section I am presented with a nice interface.
I put in the correct credentials.. it runs. and.... 0% with 100% login Errors (however on the left it says 3 Login errors which is to be expected as they are my virtual servers with different credentials that I would normally add on after.)
So I run scan again. Same result.
I then click Fix Errors. Nothing happens. no box nothing. after a 3rd try it did something and took me to a new screen, to fix the 3 device login errors.
I press to fix on the next screen and its all greyed out. Took me a few moments to realise nothing was selected on the Errored Devices so I pressed Select all. Suddenly the greyed out bits come to life. Spiceworks had also worked out that they area all ESXI/Vsphere's which was impressive.
I filled out the credentials (firstly wrong to see what happens) it worked it's way through and shuffled them to the left / Devices to test which was nice. When I put in the correct credentials it took it to the right. I had no more Errored Devices and the page was at a "stand still." The only things I could see to click was the former Select All button which is now a Select None button and a blue button that sys Re-Scan These. Did I not just rescan them by submitting the credentials?
Anyway I pressed "Re-Scan These" I was taken to the familiar original scan page where the Scan seemed to re-run. I sat and waited.
It failed again!? and took me back to the 0% sucessfully scanned page?! Weird.
OK so at this point I thought what are my options?
I have 3 buttons to press "scan now" in blue "add new ip range" which I didn't want to do at this point "Fix Errors"
Well I thought I fixed the Errors so I will press Scan Now again.
I was prompted to readd my credentials. So I did and pressed to scan / continue.
This time it ran painfully slow. (which means it must be doing something) Nope it just stopped and went back to Scan Overview.
So I tried once more. - nope.
If I click fix errors it has remembered the previous success and trys scanning those 3 devices again. Failed with login errors..?!!
ok so.. what have I not pressed Add new IP Range so I added the same range as auto detected only one in from front and one in from end .2-254. Similar to how I used to have to do to get multiple credentials scanning for different ssh etc.
Fill in same credentials.
hit scan.
nope. No luck.
same results.
