Following a client request, we decided to rename the Wi-Fi network...simples.....but we also took this downtime to firmware flash the AP's....
Most have worked fine. If it were all of them I wouldn't be posting here though.....
I have several AP's that I needed to reset. They do not respond when I use the reset button. When I try to telnet/SSH into them, via putty (I am a Windows person) they do not allow access (using the old controller username/PW). so they are basically bricks, that are working, but broadcasting the wrong wireless network names.....
I also have 2 that just glow a steady orange, but do not pick up an IP address, and a further 2 that give a brief green flash when I power them up, then are dead....no IP address. I have spoken at length to the reseller, who despite the EU directive (EU Directive 1999/44/EC) insist they do not need to offer a 2 year guarantee, and only a 12 month warranty. As this is being refered, I cannot go into further details here, but I am more interested in getting the dead AP's operational again.
