Hi Spiceheads,
We are on the cusp of setting up an office in Dubai and one of the first things to do once an internet connection has been supplied will be to connect them to our existing network.
The plan is to configure a Dell R510 as a ESXi Hypervisor, throw a couple of disks at it raided and fire up a few VM's
1 VM would be a PFsense firewall
another would be Active Directory and Files server
The plan would be to create an IPSEC tunnel VPN back to our UK office where we have similar setups and IPSEC tunnels to our other offices. The question i have is it possible to have an IPSEC tunnel in Duabi and would VOIP traffic be allowed over it?
The reason i ask is ive been told that they are very restrictive there and VOIP can be blocked and VPNs can be problematic, but with no prior experience operating out of the UAE im unsure what the situation actually is.
Could any of you help based on personal experiences?
Many Thanks,
Adam
