Windows Server Essentials 2012R2 domain server. Windows 10 Pro clients.
Have a couple users with ADMINSTRATOR rights and the rest are just STANDARD USERS.
ADMINISTRATORs obviously get full access so no problem accessing Shared Folders. (except when clicking "Network" in File Explorer, I do not see the SERVER, but just shared printers?)
Some STANDARD USERS have Read Only access and Read/Write access only. (Shared Folders created using Essentials)
From a Standard User client PC, I try to access the SHARED FOLDER.
I get the Enter network credentials dialog.
Enter the standard users credentials (under the domain), but get "Access is denied" in red?
I obviously can log in using an admin account (using more choices), but do not want to do that.
(I think I can enter \\SERVER also and gain access around it?)
What am I doing wrong? Thank you for any...
