So far we have not had any problems with Miscosoft SCCM 2012 deploying system Center 2012 Endpoint Protection deploying both programs to machines all over campus, until the Vice Principal brought me his laptop to be redone. After rebuilding the laptop, it joined the domain without a problem. I can ping it from the server, the server can access the laptop's C drive from the server with \\computer_name\c$ so I don't believe it is a firewall issue.
The problem is that the SCCM is deploying the software manager fine (for the most part) but System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection does not get deployed at all. I have restarted the laptop several times, tried to redeployed the client from SCCM several times, (making sure that I check the option always install the client.) but no luck.
I even went to the extreme of removing the computer from SCCM, the domain, and reimaging it, rejoining it to the domain, moving the computer to the correct OU and letting SCCM refind the "new" system to auctomatically deploy the client and AV. Same result, no AV and waht appears to be a correct install of the software manager.
Earlier when I said that the software manager gets installed fine for the most part, I seems to be installed and opens up fine, but the software I have deployed to the laptop is not listed. I know that it works since i have deployed the software to other machines.
I know this is late on a Friday, but thanks for any help you might be able to provide.
