I am having a bit of trouble figuring out how to configure this setup. Currently we have a Mac Mini server running mountain lion and it provides email services and open directory users. This server is located in our DMZ and as such has no connection to our local lan. Lets call this server #1.
Server #2 is another mac mini server running mountain lion and is this time located in our local LAN. Server #1 currently is the open directory master and has the users for email, but we want to replicate these open directory users on server #2 on the local LAN.
My question is how can you safely sync these 2 servers without linking up your dmz and your lan, or creating a weak point in your firewall configuration?
Please let me know if you need more clarification as im not quite sure what else to include at this point.
