Hi Guys,
Users at one of my sites are experiencing a strange issue when trying to attach files to emails in Outlook 2010.
The users have a drive mapped to a DFS namespace which is working correctly, but when they try to attach a file to an email from the same mapped drive it is really slow. Outlook displays a green progress bar indicating it is browsing the DFS mapped drive, it shows everytime a folder is clicked and is causing frustration because it is so slow.
If users browse the folder in explorer performance is fine, if users browse in explorer and right click a file then send by email, it works fine.
If I remove the DFS namespace and map the drive to the local server, everything works fine.
Any ideas on what could be causing this?
thanks
John
