Determine what RAID device a set of disks were made with

We are going through our old disks running DBAN before recycling them and I've come across a set of disks that appear to have been in a RAID 1 configuration.  They are in a generic drive mount that's been removed from the tower. This tower could have held any kind of motherboard with built in RAID or PCI RAID. Obviously whatever is on the drives is not important but I'm still curious to see what's on there.

I've plugged them in via USB SATA, directly to a computer via onboard SATA, and to an ESATA adapter.  Drives just show up in Diskpart as offline with no free space.

Does anyone know of a way to determine what RAID device was used to create an array?  Or maybe a software method to examine the contents of a drive?
