Twice now within the last two weeks, we've had a machine tell us this message while attempting updates: "An add-on for this website failed to run. ...check security settings for conflicts."
We tried several Microsoft FixIts and nothing worked. The last time it ended up being a corrupted profile and creating a new one worked. This time, apparently it's some different problem. The first occurrence was on Windows Vista. This last one is on a Windows XP machine. We left off by running sfc /scannow and the utility was copying files from the CD to the DLL cache. I am away from the office so I don't know if this was successful. Any thoughts are appreciated as always. Thanks for your help.
