help desk mailbox type

Hi everybody,


Just started playing with SpiceWorks and .. WoOw! I'm in heaven, every day, a feature, a plugin or a widget makes life easier.


Didn't configure email yet, but already some questions:
What type of mailbox to dedicate to help desk (in exchange 2010)? If it's a resource mailbox, the related user account will be disabled. Wouldn’t that be odd? If it is a standard mailbox, what about the related user account management (maintaining password, auditing, licensing...).
I'm asking these questions because, for the moment we use a mail enabled group in AD that contains the support team accounts, so incoming mails transferred to everyone. For requests responses, members of the team are granted the "send as" privilege.


What about you? How do you deal with that?
