I am at my end. I have been dealing with this for 3 days. I had the SBS 2008 SP2 server die at my school. No problem I have a good backup. One of the drives on the raid1 is bad. I first had the great idea to install the backups to hyper-V. After not being able to get the AD to work for more than 5 minutes every time I rebooted the VM. The internet screams don’t do this it is not supported. Ok OK. So I restored to the old hardware with a new hard drive. Everything other than the hard drive is the same. Restore is fine but the AD still only comes up for the first time I open it then nothing.

In the SBS console I have run the “Fix my network” option no fix.
IP is the same as it was nothing has changed. I had installed another DC 2008R2SP1 a few weeks ago but the AD dies with the SBS. They were working find before the crash.
