Help! Server won't start...

(I think this is a hardware problem, but please move to different group if necessary. Thanks.)

Hi all. I have another problem. This one is NOT my fault (I think). I am logging in from home to ask this question because... well you'll see why.

My Dell PowerEdge R310 will not start.

I was applying Microsoft updates through a RDC like I always do. The virtual machines updated fine, and shut down like they were supposed to. When I went to "Install updates and shut down" on the physical server (still through a remote desktop session), I got the normal message that said that "someone at the location will have to physically restart the server." All fine and dandy.

So, I trudged through the pitch dark to the server room, pushed the power button, and... nothing. No click, no whirr, no blinking Christmas lights, nothing.

I'm at home now, asking for suggestion on what the problem could be and possible solutions. Keep in mind that I won't be able to try these solutions until tomorrow morning, and I won't be able to access SpiceWorks until I have the problem solved, because, oh yeah, we don't have cell service at work, and the entire server - network and all - is down.

The server is just over a year old. Specs:

- Dell PowerEdge R310
- Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise
- 1 physical server running 5 virtual servers using Hyper-V
- 4 x 2TB disks, in two mirrored configurations
- I'm in California (Pacific Time Zone)

Please let me know if more info is needed. And remember, I can't try any of these solutions until tomorrow, so I'll have to print out this thread before I leave for work tomorrow.

Thanks, as usual, for your help (in advance).
