So, it looks like Java is preparing to kill it self.

If you are acting on behalf of an ENTERPRISE, Oracle recommends you review the roadmap information for Java SE 8 and beyond and begin to assess your ongoing Java support requirements in order to migrate to a later release or obtain a Java SE Subscription, as appropriate, on a timely basis.
If I am not mistaking, using the client in a commercial environment will now cost money? Dafuq?

Let me preface this with I already filled out the web forms for sales etc.. but then jumped over here on Spiceworks to view Veeam posts... After reading a few decided to post to get a feel from others on my needs and Veeam's offerings. NO BIG $$$ here, but I understand the value of a product.
So my first goal is to protect the following servers/data.
1 physical server + 5 TB data
3 vm’s (VMware) + 5TB data
20 workstations (for important users who I do not want to rebuild from scratch)
Backup to cloud (no current provider)
Disaster Recovery (not 100% sure where I'm going with this, whether I want to DR in cloud and point my users there after disaster or ???)

Hi,
I have created a timesheet project in Access.
The employees enters their time everyday and the reports are generated.
When the managers run the report it shows all the records the employees entered.
Is there any ways we can make the reports show the data "0" even if any employee does not enter their time.
Ex:
there are 5 employees.Out of them only 4 employees entered their time for last week.
The report should show all the employees for last week with 4 employees's time and the 5th employee who have not entered their time should show "0" for that week.
Hope i have explained ok..Please let me know if you have any questions.
Appreciate your help.
Thanks
I notice that when, on the workstations, I have the updated agent installed for ManageEngine Desktop Central THEN agent for ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus is rendered "Agent Not Reachable". If the agent for ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus is working properly, ManageEngine Desktop Central reports the agent is out of date. It seems, no matter what if one agent works, the other doesn't. Is this by some intentional design? Is there a way to get both ManageEngine Desktop Central AND Patch Manager Plus Agent to operate on the workstations together? Or is this a one or the other option?
I have a Server 2016 std VM that likes to crash randomly, although thankfully it's normally at night and on weekends. I downloaded "BlueScreenView" and it tells me that the last six crashes were caused by wof.sys. Google says wof.sys is tied to the Windows Overlay Filter, but I'm not real sure what that is.
1) What is the Windows Overlay Filter and why is it crashing my VM?
2) How can I fix it?
VM was patched last month, so it's mostly current on patches (the crashing has been happening way before the last patch cycle)
Howdy,
I have my main WSUS Server in the Eastern timezone and my downstream server in the Pacific timezone. If I want the machines on the downstream servers to have a deadline to force the install at 10PM, when I approve the patches on the EST server, do I set the deadline local to the machine that will be getting the patches or do I need to set it as if everything was in EST?
Mainly to get a deadline at 10PM PST, do I need to set the deadline on the upstream for 1AM the following day or do I set it for 10PM?
Thanks!

Hey All,
I thought that I would write a little guide on how to install PHP 7.x on the latest version of spiceworks in case anyone needed it for custom development (as in my case) It is worth noting that after some spiceworks updates you will need to redo your httpd.conf
To start I should let you know that this is not exactly supported however it does work.
Lets begin, on your spiceworks installation you are going to need to go tohttp://windows.php.net/download
You are going to download the latest thread safe version of PHP, in my case it was
VC15 x64 Thread Safe (2018-Nov-08 07:50:12)
save this somewhere that you know where it will be, take the zip and extract it to C:\php\ (or your root drive directory)
The next thing you will need to do is modify your spiceworks httpd.conf, this file is located under your root directory in Program Files...

Image may be NSFW.Hi, I added a new domain controller to the existing domain environment, AD replication is perfectly fine, only sysvol replication never succeeded. The other domain controllers' sysvol shares are C:\Windows\SYSVOL_DFSR\domain, the newly promoted domain controller by default has sysvol folder C:\Windows\SYSVOL\domain. Is it the reason why SYSVOL replication failed? How can I change the sysvol folder on the new domain controller from C:\Windows\SYSVOL\ to C:\Windows\SYSVOL_DFSR? Also I ran the command: net share on the new domain controller, no sysvol share is listed. Do you guys know how to fix this issue? Thanks.

Hello everyone. To briefly explain we had an employee register a domain name while the employee was at the company. Do to a mistake the domain name was registered in the employee name and has access to obtain the EPP. The employee left in bad terms and will not release an EPP. Our email addresses are listed on the domain name as Registrant and Admin. But that is not the email addresses used at the registrar (the employee used a personal one). I reached out the the registrar and they refused to help in any way.
Has anyone been through this and have suggestions? The lawyers did sent out a "threatening" letter and was returned as "refused" (allowed by the USPS).
Thank you in advance for any help.
After a recent database crash, I had to rebuild Spiceworks all over again a few months ago. Three of us are in it, and was working for awhile. Now all of a sudden, one admin is not getting his work orders and I've tried deleting and recreating his admin email, but he did not receive his invitation.
We are using Spiceworks onsite, not on the cloud. Although it is becoming an attractive option now.
We also tried an alternate email but he isn't receiving those. I've already created outside alternate email and was receiving the invitation properly.
