My company is migrating our primary servers from Linux to Windows Server 2016.
On our current file server, we have a web tool which uses the smbstatus command to allow us to search for a file (or even just a few letters of the file name) and will return the user, group, and IP address which has the file locked. This is updated in real time without a refresh required and allows us to kill the process if need be.
I see that in Windows I can view locked files via Computer Management - Shared Folders - Open Files, however this does not appear to contain the ability to search for a specific file, either via full name or a partial string, nor does it show the group, IP, or refresh automatically. Additionally, even pulling it up is a bit more of a task than our current tool as it would require logging into the file server.
